Bespoke shoes by Korbinian Ludwig Heß transpose the personality of their wearer in a centuries-old artisanal tradition. Precisely constructed to fit the foot, posture, and personality of my customers, my shoes are conceived in a way that will impart their wearer with an inner and outer stance. For this, I take not only foot measurements and shape into account, but also the wearer’s height, manner of walking, their personality, physiognomy, and lastly the occasions on which the shoe will be worn. When taken together, these factors determine the final shape of the shoe and inform the adequate choice of leather. A pair of bespoke shoes by Korbinian Ludwig Heß satisfies the highest standards of exclusivity and personality and will accompany you as a life-long companion.
I learned my craft at the former purveyor to the Austrian royal family, shoemaker Rudolf Scheer & Söhne in Vienna. This artisanal foundation was followed by residencies at shoemakers in London, Freiburg, and Munich, during which I developed and honed my own personal style. My style is best described as a dedication to sleek elegance and minimalist silhouettes, highlighting the texture and subtleness of the leathers I use. The exactitude of my craft and workmanship are essential to this: by omitting lavish embellishments, the structural integrity of my shoes is put into focus. I currently manufacture bespoke shoes for men and women in my workshop in Berlin.
