Unser Wholecut-Slipper ist aus einem Stück Leder und damit fast ohne Nähte gefertigt. Geht zur Jeans, geht zur Leinen- aber auch zur Flanellhose. Geht für Herren, geht für Damen. Keine Schnörkel, keine Bommel, kein Quatsch. Nur der Absatz ist leicht abgeschrägt, als kleine Hommage an unsere große Liebe zum Cowboystiefel. Schlicht, elegant, mit Fokus auf dem Wesentlichen, was in diesem Falle wäre:
Kann ich in den Slippern Vespa und Ferrari fahren?
Sehe ich mit den Slippern in Mailand endlich aus wie ein Local?
Und tragen mich die Dinger nach einem ausufernden Aufenthalt in der Bar Basso noch sicher nach Hause?
Die Antwort ist natürlich: Ja. Und das bei richtiger Pflege ein Leben lang.
Machart: Der KLH Slipper wird auf einem von uns entworfenen Leisten in einer kleinen italienischen Familienmanufaktur gefertigt. Die Sohle ist mit einer verdeckten Risslippe versehen, dank derer die Sohle von unten ihre perfekte glatte Oberfläche erhält, obwohl sie von Hand vernäht ist. Das sorgt nicht nur für eine optisch schöne Lösung, sondern bedeutet auch, dass der oder die TrägerIn nicht nach weniger Zeit die Naht auf der Unterseite der Sohle durchläuft. Die Schuhe werden von Hand rahmengenäht und gedoppelt. Jeder einzelne der ungefähr 250 Stiche pro Schuh wird also einzeln mit einer Ahle von Hand gestochen und vernäht. Die einzelnen Stiche der Doppelnaht sieht man an der Oberseite der Sohle, die ca. 70 Stiche der Rahmennaht kann man nur als absoluter Kenner nach Jahren des Tragens ertasten. Der Steg, der die Stiche der Rahmennaht hält, wird bei diesem Slipper wie bei den Maßschuhen aus der Brandsohle geschnitten. Eine so aufwändige Verarbeitungsart ist außerhalb der Welt der Maßschuhe in Deutschland einzigartig und entspricht unserem Anspruch, dem oder der TrägerIn einen Schuh zu bauen, der ein Leben lang getragen werden kann.
Material: Das Oberleder ist italienisches Boxcalf. Für das Futterleder haben wir pflanzlich gegerbtes Kalbsleder aus Deutschland verwendet.
