We wanted to develop the perfect Oxford for a really long time. Why? Because it is the classic. It’s the most requested model when it comes to our bespoke line. It’s the one shoe that can be worn at almost any occasion. And it’s the one shoe that looks stunning with a suit, with a pair of jeans, when properly polished with a tuxedo - hell, even with Lederhosen.

But: It can be a little dull, non? That is why the trained eye will notice that the KLH Oxford has certain details that make it particularly special: we abstained from the typical toe cap which gives it a sharper, more elegant look. We changed the last and pronounced its edges to give it - well - a certain edge. We developed a very minimalist shape that’s more pointed, elegant in its simplicity. No frills, no pompoms, no bells and whistles - just the beauty of a perfectly shaped shoe. The only really “extra” thing about it, is its slightly tapered heel - a small homage to our eternal love for cowboy boots.

With the right care this one will last a lifetime. Thanks to its closed channel the sole gets its perfectly smooth surface even though it is hand-stitched. Welting and outsole stitching of the shoes is done entirely by hand. Each of the approximately 250 stitches is pre-punched with an awl and then stitched by hand. You can see the waxy thread of the outsole stitching on top of the sole, between in- and outsole there are around 70 more welt-stitches that can only be identified by absolute connoisseurs after years of wearing.

The holdfast that is stitched to upper and welt is cut from the insole of this Oxford, just like we do on bespoke shoes. Such an elaborate production method is unique outside the world of bespoke shoemaking in Germany and corresponds to our claim to make a shoe that can be worn for a lifetime.
